Company that works with hematological systems closes a partnership to ensure the reference values of Erba H560 and Elite 580 equipment

Erba Mannheim is another partner of Controllab’s. Collaborating Supplier Program. Also known as Erba Diagnostics Brazil, the supplier is a company of the Erba Mannheim Group, originally founded in India and which today has operations in more than 100 countries, with several factories and Research and Development Centers (R&D) in Asia, Europe and the United States. United.

In Brazil, the company offers worldwide recognized In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) solutions, with high quality diagnostic equipment and reagents, at affordable prices. “Controllab is another partner for the quality control of Erba’s Hematology line equipment”, says Ricardo Duarte, Erba’s General Manager.

In the Collaborating Supplier partnership, the reference values of the equipment are guaranteed, without depending on a minimum training of results from the laboratories that use the system.

As a Collaborating Supplier, the contracting company makes its products available (reagent, kit, equipment, consumables) so that Controllab can perform the sequence of repeated analyzes to assess the internal control. That is, the reference values for the supplier’s material become part of the package insert of Controllab’s internal control programs, regardless of the interlaboratory comparison.

Controllab also verifies, with the Collaborating Supplier’s analytical system, the proficiency testing materials. This partnership is continuous, with each new control material produced, whether for use in external control or internal control, analyzes and valuations will be performed in the supplier’s system. This partnership allows even more integration between the supplier, the client laboratory and Controllab, as the dynamics of the program favors the exchange of information. Consequently, there is more reliability for laboratories looking for quality verification when choosing the analytical system.

“In quality control, evaluating the performance of the laboratory in relation to the expected results in the control samples is fundamental for the analytical routine. When there is no group formation for a system in the interlaboratory comparison, its reference values are not available. With this initiative by Erba Mannheim, users of Erba H560 and Elite 580 equipment will be more confident”, explains Claudio Bastos, Services Supervisor at Controllab.
